Well fresh from my little trip to Yorkshire I thought I would make a start at going through my photos and see what I had. Sadly my first one is a place that has been well photographed before but I wanted to have one of my own of Whitby Pier and was excited to get a few.

I took many photos at the pier but I thought I would start with a long exposure version. Strangely enough while I was taking this photo I got talking to another photographer who was there trying to capture some photos for a RPS submission, so I picked his brains.

Anyway, after the sun was putting on a wonderful light show I got to this image.

Well thank you for taking the time to look at my photo, I hope you enjoy and of course all comments and critiques are much appreciated.

Cheers,
Matt

Closer to the right railing than most. Lovely perspective, sky colour, and the tints of rust add a little extra colour to the foreground. Fine work, Matt.

It may be a familiar setting, but it's still a great image - well captured.
