Good evening everyone!

Tonight is another different photo and one from Sunday night. The landlord from a pub, where I have done some photos previously, asked if I could grab a few shots of his open mic night. This is the first shot I have looked at properly and decided to have a play. I had to shoot at ISO 6400 as the lighting was pretty much non existent, but it was good to have a play and learn as I went along.

Noise was a bit of an issue but I was surprised at the amount of detail that was still retained and made the images still usable. Anyway I processed in both colour and mono ( I will upload the colour as a version) but I thought that the mono version suited better than the colour.

Thank you for looking at my photo, I hope you enjoy and of course all comments and critiques are much appreciated.

Cheers,

Matt

Nicely taken Matt , I like the reflection of the lady in the mirror but find the shiny head in the fg a little distracting

Jeremy

The noise has cleaned up well, Matt, and the mono is crisp and clear, and the mirrored reflection is excellent.

Excellent shot. No sign of grain on my screen but I would expect that to be the case with the D800. Only one thing draws my eye and that's the guy in front of the singer with the shiny head. But nothing much you could do about that I suspect. Like the mirror image.
