I like the pose and the holding of the pregnant belly, her eyes are really sharp and make a great focal point. Less sure about the colour popping because although very skillfully done, it makes her dress compete wit her eyes for attention. The background is beautifully out of focus but looks to have been done post-capture and I think it covers the top left (as we look) of her hair which loses detail where it shouldn't and is slightly distracting. However, overall a very well done portrait and the lighting and contrast is excellent.

A cracking picture, but like 'almiles' says the colour popping takes your eye away from that wonderful face. Would like to see just a b+w version.

A cold beer for you but hot tea for us, another cold day!!

have to agree with some of the comments above... a beautiful black & white portrait in it's own right ....for me it is a portrait and therefore about the face ....the colour does compete with the face for your attention

Now this really IS a lovely shot Kathryn. I don't normally like this mix of colour and Mono, but you've done a splendid job here.

An interesting portrait I like the 'colour popping' and in this instance feel that it does draw the eye to the babybump that the young lady is obviously very proud of and rightly so - Elizabethxx

Stunning black and white portrait. The added splash of colour has been creatively done and adds to the portrait making it more eye catch Smile Smile Smile
