The old mansions of Kastoria were built during a period when commerce with Venice and other cities on the Adriatic Coast was flourishing. The 17th and 18th centuries were particularly prosperous times for the people of Kastoria.
One of them has been converted into a folk art museum. This one, is the mansion of the Nerantzi Aivatzis family, built in the 16th or 17th century in Kastoria’s Dolco district. It is sumptuously furnished and displays ornaments, kitchen utensils, and various tools of that period. These exhibits, no matter how dusty, show the life of Kastorian merchants of the 17th-18th centuries.
V1: Door knocker of the mansion
V2 and V3: Two images of the kitchen.
V4: Kiosk. Not actually a kiosk, but a siiting room with plenty of light and panes to look through.
Many thanks to all of you, who took time to see, comment and vote my last upload . All very appreciated. A huge thanks to Carol (Caziwinkles) for her priceless UA.Smile
Thank you for looking.

Thank you for your comments and this intro to Macedonia. I am a bit curious about the door knocker because at a glance it looks like one, but on further analysis it is rather curious and different from the ornate door knockers I am familiar with (how does it work here?). The door looks particularly old especially in view of the elegant table in the last shot. Do you have a shot of the entire door? Regards,
Paul

Thank you all for your comments
Really is a different knocker Paul, but its position is as you see in the image. I have one shot of the entire door but from a distance, so you can't see the knocker. On the other half of the door there is exactly the same knocker and I guess they used the rings to put some lock.
