Hi Folks...Grin

First upload for a month or three, Been a tad busy off line but still managed a few outings with Camera & Cats !

Quite pleased with this effort as it is my boy " Ziggy " , Not the easiest kitty to get a decent shot of as he's always on the move, Another reason I quite pleased is that this image required almost no post work, The intention when setting out was to produce the look I wanted at the time the shutter was fired, To this end I used a very high ISO @ 2000 ( Despite having lots of ambient daylight ) A wide aperture f/4 and a subsequently fast shutter speed of 1/2000s.

I really did not want a clinical, Technically scientific image, I wanted something will a feel and look of reality that would do justice to my subject, Above all I did not want to add any post modifications in order to achieve the look I was after....Wink

So here it is, Resized and converted for upload, A very small amount of selective low value sharpening, Looking just like the split second the shutter fired.

The bad news, I have a few more pussy pics lined up for uploading....LOL...!

Regards
Vince

About Time Vince! We don't see half enough of your beautiful cats. SmileSmileSmile
This is a lovely natural shot, and you've captured some lovely subtle detail in Ziggy's fur. Always difficult on black coats. And he stands out so beautifully from the background.

So black and sleek, like a miniature black panther. In the barn checking out for mice. A beautiful shot......Sandy
