Thanks Steve, Being trying to find some inspiration all day, then called at a friends for a brew.
Shot a few snaps while he was cooking and this is the one I liked best.
Just got a 50mm f1.8 lens, so trying my hand at a bit of shallow DOF.
Love the way it can, as you say, turn an ordinary scene into a great shot.

Welcome (a couple of weeks late) to the site, I'm recognising your style! I like the way you see the smaller picture rather than the bigger picture, you capture small-scale atmosphere well.
I have a Nikon 50mm f1.8, I'm always interested to compare results. Both seem to caress subjects.
