This to us is very special Barn Owl that as hit a point in life where she as exceeded what the experts state regarding the life expectancy of Barn Owls. It is said that Barn Owls in the wild live for approximately 1 to 5years & in captivity they can live for approximately 20 - 25years.
Guess what, she has now hit an incredible age of 26 years old. AMAZING & a huge Happy Birthday to her or should I say Happy Hatchday!
What a stunner she is & fair play she still looks amazing for such an elderly Barn Owl, which she hides well!
For energy & fitness she still enjoys & participates in our flying experiences, which include excitable Children's parties, this is not a plug, it just shows this particular Barn Owl still copes with ease whilst still having the energy of a youngster for which we hope continues.
Let this beautiful Barn Owl be solid proof that Barn Owls can live up to 20 to 26years & possibly longer in captivity!
Thanks for allowing me to share this with you & thanks for any comments given
Vince
