Birds in grass can be difficult - hard to avoid blades in front of the subject, and difficult to get a plain background behind. With the aid, I suspect, of a little cloning you have done well here and produced a great shot.

Super Meadow Pipit Paul and congrats on the HC, dont see many for birds now unless its a dam Puffin.
