Taken today at the FS. There are a large amount of the Goldcrests in the woods and this one came in to see what all the others birds are doing...I also has a male GSW at last, just waiting on the Nutty's to arrive.
cracking shot where is fs? cheers patman
What a brilliant capture. Alec
aww lovelyshot of this gorgeous little bird. I have had one visiting my garden for past two days and aint managed a shot of him yet such nippy little birds, if I get one as nice as this I will be happy - again lovely detailed shot with natural colours
It's my Feeding Station in my local woods near Attlebridge, Cheers, David.
Brilliant capture of this elusive bird. Been looking for these for weeks so envious.Well captured David.
Great shot Dave of about the hardest Bird of all to capture!
Great shot ,nice DOF well done
Brill great image Danny
S-u-p-e-r-b Unfortunately I don't know where FS is or what "I also has a male GSW " means, but it is the image that counts.
Your Gallery is a winner!
Nice capture of a beautiful female GC Dave Cheers
PS I thought the FS was in PH were the IQ is only to find the GSW
superb image,well taken.ray
Beautiful shot, deserves to do well
superb shot david
I'd have prefered getting this over a Nuthatch, these are tricky ickle customers at the best of times....Nice one.
Great capture of a very shy and elusive bird, great detail and colour and I am very jealous.
Great capture, I'd love to find one of these little beauty's , very well done. One very JEALOUS Shaun.
Superb - these guys are hyper as if they have had too much caffeine. Lovely clean background.
Superb capture of this our smallest bird. I would love to be seeing 'loads of them' so when you have finished could you chase them down my way David !.
Agree, super capture.
great shot, not an easy shot to acheive i have been chasing these around at my local forest for a while now without success , now is a good time to attempt a shot of the gold crest as they are coming down from the canopy in search of food , they normally hang out with blue tits and long tailed tits so if you can spot a gang of these you can normally find gold crests among them.
A fine shot(No!..an excellent shot) of one of our smallest birds
Fab shot David.. very envious..... I've only seen a very quick climpse of these and have an out of focus back of the head shot!
Many thanks to you all for the comments and clicks. Skewey, cheers for the award most appreciated.
superb capture,nicely done.
Such a lovely shot with superb detail, I stood in awe yesterday on the Isle of Wight waiting for one just to get to the edge of a branch to get a shot - but wasn't to be. Ina
- I will swap you 2 goldcrests for 6 nuttys (I've got loads at my FS)
My lack of nutty pics just means I'm not good enough to catch them - they are there most of the time!
oh wow breath-taking shot
A terrific shot, David. Spent some time amongst the pines in Cardinham Woods nr Bodmin in September hoping to get decent photos of Goldcrests. Saw several but none obliged.
