The man in the middle of the pic is actually standing on the remains of another installation artwork - the crack.

Strong lines, asymmetry contained within a square, random anonymous humans giving life to the frame - this is my comfort zone too, I love it. I'm seeing this as the cover for a Kafka novel...
Assuming that tripods aren't allowed, you're going for some very brave exposures - I'm guessing camera sat on handbag??
I think I'd take the high ISO route, would be interesting to compare results.

I'm guessing camera sat on handbag? A useful handrail.
I always forget about upping the ISO. I really must try it just to see what sort of grain I get naturally in camera (although this may produce other unwanted artefacts). Good reminder Moira. Thanks. ![]()
Fabulous monochrome shades, exceptional composition.

oh yes that is a great light the depth of the hall looks indefinite. a fine shot (and your cat was great fun
)
A super capture, Carol, wonderful lighting. The inclusion of the man really gives it a sense of scale, which would be difficult to judge without him ![]()

Superb stuff this, Chris. Perfection in mono. Love the low light and use of diagonals in the compo. Glad you explained the crack!
Anne
Brilliant. My first thought was that that back wall projection reminded me of Queen's Radio GaGa video before the masses arrive or after they have left. Very 1984 also.

A very dramatic and thought provoking image Chris, trust Carol to come out with that comment!![]()
I'm only sorry I had to wait six days before my U.A. was available. Hope you like it!
Best wishes
Bill
