A lost cause I fear.
Dedicated to JJ Cale. RIP.
Do we still have record shops?...............I'm so used to Amazon and itunes that I forget the old days..............
Haven't seen one in years....now the DVD rentals are closing too....sad days
Not many left, an endangered species nearing extinction.
Super title Chris, made me smile.!!!!!
If we had one, I might.
Well seen and capture Chris, good title too
Probably a charity shop shirt - they sell records too
Well spotted and nicely composed!!
Memories of me being a 14 year old boy when I went into a record shop to buy my first single.
Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues for the pricely sum of two bob and a tanner !!
Or half a crown, or two and six, or half a dollar, if you like.
We had plenty names for our money in these good old days.
(And I do believe the Moody Blues are still playing today.Although I suspect it will take them a while to actually remember what instrument they do play !!)
A candid with a message Excellent.
Good bit of advertising, Chris, but not sure that he will drum up any business these days Carol
I did, but sadly it (HMV) closed a few weeks ago Such a shame, as there's very few outlets in Wakefield that have such a comprehensive range of CDs and DVDs. A great candid capture though, Chris
Youngsters no longer buy them, great pity. Nice find and shot.
"Record Shop, do such establishments still exist?"
Flogging a dead horse, to my mind.
Another cracking candid shot Chris
He's had that T shirt about 20 years.
I'm not so sure it's a lost cause - they are producing LPs again over here - it's the sound - they just can't reproduce it on the CDs and mp3s.
I know Anne. I wish I still had my Dansette. Still got lots of vinyl and it sounds great, scratches and all.
Our last local record shop sadly closed 3 years ago.. Brilliant memories of hanging out in there Saturdays , the equivalent big name store doesn't appeal at all! Great candid shot
If I had a record player I might... but I still have a collection of records in my loft! This is super Chris - love the composition and the 'line' of children presumably waiting to go into the Tate. They look quite orderly....
A bit late with my award Chris, but I think this deserves a gong! full of interest.
I like that T-shirt Well seen and superbly captured, Chris.
I lament the attack of the intangible over the tangible. First it was records. Now CD shops are disappearing. Worst of all, a couple of BOOKSHOPS have closed over here. Sad state of affairs, huh?
A fine candid and I like your treatment.
super candid...like the T-shirt......and I agree
Great pic and title
What a brilliant title...Not much left on the high streets today.
great title..where do you them from?
a brilliant shot
Well seen and captured
A fine capture... I do miss the local record shops... IB
