Emerging from the walkway underneath Blackfriars Bridge you come across this scene. The cross of St Pauls seemingly reaching up to the crosses of the scaffolding. I just like it.
I did a crop as there was a big lump of something to the left which would have been too big to clone out and I cut out a bit of the sky to make the crosses nearer for composition's sake, but I'm not sure if I should have taken out so much. You will judge. I couldn't stand anywhere else and even here I could've done with being another 3 inches taller to frame it how I wanted it. But you have to work with what you've got. ![]()
Converted to B/w using NIK. For me this image is all about shapes rather than details.
V2 is the original for comparison.
Many thanks for dropping by.

And a big thank you to Bricurtis for his UA for my previous image Browing.

Mono transforms this, brings the planes together.

Both crop and monochrome are well-judged, even essential I suggest. The image is very graphic; emphasising the lines with the b&w helps to draw the attention away from the insipid summer sky.
A striking and well-observed shot, one of those that has to be taken - I suppose you could call it rescued!
Regards
Bill
Has a bit of an old postcard look in V1 - it works for me, Chris, so that's my choice! ![]()
