A section of the first class carriage on the Epping/Ongar Heritage Railway. The Central Line used to run right out to Ongar from Epping but was closed down many years ago. It has now been restored and runs both steam and diesel trains on the single track line. http://eorailway.co.uk/ I doubt they had the No Smoking signs up in the "old days" though.

I travelled a couple of times on that section of the Central Line - many years ago, as you say Chris! Smile I'm glad they are using the old line for these lovely old trains. Your images bring back memories!
