...uploaded - I don't have E2, it looks rubbish at 600 px, it's lost too much detail in the upload. I've lost my beautiful Sony CRT Trinitron monitor and ended up with a cr*p tiny digital useless piece of hopeless rubbish that someone found in an old office cupboard and it makes my eyes hurt. How I'm ever going to to upload anything half decent without wrecking the image with lots of mucking about to disguise it, I don't know..

However, i do actually love mucking about, but even so this cat on a window ledge has not turned out as envisaged.

I will leave this a little while and hope I win E2 in the xmas give away and then maybe think again about uploading a bit more.

Oh, and p.s. having a crap monitor shows up an awful lot of bad processing, it's very unforgiving.... I'm quite surprised at the carelessness of some of the more 'advanced contributors on here'!

Love your write up. So funny, and I'm sure we can all empathise. Grin
Having said that, I love this image. It had to be a white cat. I'm sure no other colour would do. Love the colours, the grungy look and above all, the content.

Stylised, in a way that cats lend themselves to.
Welcome back Miss Clock, even if you are only lurking.

Welcome back, even with a crappy 600 mp upload Wink I know that behind this lurks a beauty of a shot. I've upgraded to Windows 7 and all my stuff has become noisy on my very expensive monitor - can't win with this computer stuff sometimes.................

I hope you win the lottery soon.

The cat is exposed so well though, with details retained in the coat, and the composition is great.

Well you've managed to make it look good on Mrs U's laptop so you're doing something rather magical, even with crappy kit.

The pic looks fine, love the colours and the style of it ... very much you.

And if David Bowie ever comes back as a cat then that will be him to a "T"

Oh, it's nice to be back and have comments, although I can't see who voted without commenting which is a bit of a bu**er, (plus there is a greatly appreciated User Award from Chris - thank you so much). The site seems to have changed somewhat.... I seem to have a 50% VS won, whatever that means (I think I shall just ignore it!).... and there are 'like' buttons, not sure what they are for but I am going to press them all and see what happens - I would guess that people get informed that I liked their comment which may, or may not be good or be extrememly annoying, I haven't got to grips with these changes or whatever this buzz business is about.

Thanks Pauline and Francesco. I'm not sure why this cat has two different coloured eyes, it's a village feral but it's white mother has two blue eyes and so has its (probable) father.

Hi and welcome back Lydia!

Looks a very satisfactory cat to me and like the contrast between an aloof feline and ancient shutters!

Been a missing link for a while too but it's good to see you're still posting.

Happy 2013.

Hi Kath, long time no see. Yes, 'Lydia' sort of disappeared and morphed into 'Arrietty' and then remorphed back to 'Lydia', it's all a bit confusing LOL. Hope all well with you.
