Taken as a sharp photo with two monochrome layers at part opacity, one guasan blur, one levels then with the colour background with mega saturation. The intention was to create a period hand coloured look....

Hi Steve, an interesting picture. Though find the blur excessive. The arm of the sofa looks sharper than the detail in her face.

Hi Paul, yes, being a beginner, I edited the picture in line with a project I read in AP. Having shown it to a few people, I've had quite a few negatives about the blur. I cannot quite get my head round why the arm looks sharper as the whole picture was pin sharp before editing. I wondered if the flesh tones radiate more when blurred Any suggestions?
