Great scene & bold colours, only thing I would have tried would be to remove the curvature of the horizon using the 'lens distortion' adjustments in whichever software you use for processing.

Good composition & looks like a nice horse, unfortunately Stephen, for me, the shot is ruined by using too slow a shutter speed and the whole shot suffers from camera shake/blur, it looks like a dull day so you may not have had much light to work with, but opening the lens aperture up & sacrificing some dof should give a faster shutter & produce a sharper image .
apologies if you were going for that effect, but my personal opinion is I would have liked something sharp (probably the eye).

Technically a good well exposed & sharp shot, personally a touch of 'lightening' around the goggles may give some more view of the eyes, adding more 'eye contact' which I feel adds massively to any sports shot).

i do not think that the space to the left is adding to the shot, mainly because of the houses, which are a distraction (I would have preferred if it had been empty fields), to counteract this a closer crop (probably vertical, as this often adds to the 'energy' of the action I feel) would concentrate more on the main subject.

overall a good shot & just some ideas to consider & just my 2p's worth (hopefully constructive )
