Another from Loch Etive. We were only going to spend a little time here, but instead stayed for most of the afternoon.

The light may have been flat, but you have used it really well. The tones are beautiful, the sky is interesting, and casts some wonderfull reflections. The still water compliments the mood well, and the foreground really works.

Only the log(?) sticking out of the water at an angle breaks up the composition (would it be a sin to clone it out?)

All in all Trev, I think this is really outstanding.

A different view of the loch and one that is enhanced by the subdued lighting. A great diagonal created by the underwater detail to the rock in the midground, above the water line, and then out to the mountains in the distance leads the eye with enchantment through the scene.

Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated.

When composing this shot, I quite liked how the log looked in the scene, I can see that it would be a cleaner shot without though.

The log doesn't bother me but the rock touching the bottom border is a distraction, that said its a shot to be proud of.
