Hi all! Here's a shot I got the idea to last weekend, as I was thinking about how I could take the IKEA fork bubbles theme one step further. The man in the bottom of the pic is my roommate, who kindly agreed to pose for the camera in this idea I got. I combined the two shots in PS and added a greenish look (underwater) plus the frame. I know this is not that real-looking as you still can see the yard in the bubbles, but couldn't resist making this manip after I got the idea. =)

Best viewed bigger.

Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcomed.

I think the idea is tremendous and really effective - the model certainly looks convinced! And the thumbnail is really dramatic and pulls you in. I'm just wondering though, having seen the link to the other bubbles, whether these need to be slightly more translucent .. thinner walled kind of things .. The bubbles were great in the other pic because you can make your mind up about what kind of liquid it is, but with this one because you know - or think you know - it's water the bubbles look a little too thick and solid.

Saying that though the idea really is so inventive and adventurous. The green toning works frighteningly well. Just my thoughts on the bubbles.

Original and very good work Paavo. You have a brilliant imagination. Lots more potential for these bubbles too.

would be great without the bubbles as well. Gives me more a Sci-Fi feel than a drowning impression. All that said... as is... cracker and award material IMO

Fantastic idea and well executed - I like the touch of giving it an underwater colour cast.

Great work,

Steve

I really like this shot. Its a very good idea for a picture.
This is the kind of shot that is ideal for the 'Tell a Story' game. This is where you gather some friends together, open the wine and then each person has to make up a short story about the picture.
