FOR THE MEN !!

Taken as homework for my Intermediate Photography Course. Focus had to be on the second can. Learning depth of field. This was taken by book instructions. A series of photos were taken according to a difference in aperture and shutter speed. What fun !

Yes, you are making progress - this is very well thought out. I like the way you have positioned the cans for the key word draught. Focus is perfectly placed, 50mm compresses the line-up of cans more than a wider angle would, you've used nearly the maximum aperture available at that focal length to restrict depth of field.
My first instinct was to crop a bit at the top, to get rid of the little triangle top left, but it actually balances the bottom line quite well.
Willie asked what software you have - you should at least have the Canon program that's supplied with your camera, and it should give you options for adjusting light. I'd like to see the darker and mid-tones beefed up just a little but not much here. Make a wee bit more of the black lettering.
If you have access to any editing software, don't think that it's somehow 'cheating' to use it. Think of a jpeg file as a film negative that offers plenty of darkroom options as to how it is printed.

I like your choice of dof, nicely focused on the second can...love the condensation on the can too.Just a wee bit more contrast & this would be so different.Moira has done a nice mod...I'll have a bash, see what I come up with.

I did a very quick mod.....adjusted the whites ( they seem a wee bit blue),cropped a touch from the top & bottom to remove the little grey triangles & put on a very slight darker vignette, just to focus the attention on that second, all important can.

Yes, good one this time. Clear sharp well focused image. Might just darken over all a tiny bit to add some impact.
