Dawn and I have been visiting the bird hide at Coombe Abbey for the last couple of weekends, and having plenty of fun...(it`s not what you think either lol)shooting the birds. Well at least trying to. It`s a big learning curve for me as I haven`t really tried my hand at photographing birds before and seeing some of the wonderful bird images posted on EPZ have inspired us to give it a go.

This shot of a Blue Tit I was quite pleased with, although the quality isn`t as good as it could be (shot with 200mm)I`m learning something different each time we go back to the hide.
Thanks for the comments on my last upload.
P.S Anyone got a 500mm lens they don`t want? lol
P.P.S. Hope you dont mind the title keith lol

Hi Chris,
A lovely shot of the blue tit, excellent colour and plumage and i like his posture,i like the bg,it looks abstract the way it's made up of holly leaves and branches/twigs,Marvellous composition.
Take care.AnnSmile

Cracking colours to this Chris, gives it a very sharp feel having the background kept in where most bird shots have a soft blur.

Great amount of detail on the blue tit too.

A nice shot of the blue tit, I have taken out sme of the background as i felt it overshadowed the bird,
