Good morning to you all,I thought it was about time I up-loaded something,I'm not too happy with this one but has it's about the only image I have left here it is,this was taken last Wendsday when I managed to get out with the camera for a couple of hours, the nasty sun was out lol so not the best of photos.
I have been catching up with jobs around the house so haven't been taking photos.
Also I got more than I bargained for around my garden bird feeder when the rats appeared !!! so we have had to block all the entry points and I think it's done the job of stopping them visiting.
Anyway just thought I would upload this and put you all in the picture, hope to get out very soon to get some more shots.
I must thank you all so very much for all the comments,votes,e-mails I have received ,the response has been overwhelming....THANK YOU ALL !!!
Hope you have all had a good week-end,wishing you all a great week ahead too.

Thanks a lot you guys, yes my rat problem is sorted Betts,we blocked all the ways they were getting in and put a load of repellent around that stinks worse than rotton eggs lol,I haven't seen any since,we have a small stream at the back of the garden fence, they were coming from there no doubt....don't want to frighten you but the saying goes we are never a few feet away from a rat lol lol........they are actually more scared of us and soon scarper when they see you,I was a bit slow really and should of got the camera out lol lol. having a dog scares them off too.
Anyway thanks again.

This is a beauty Jean and well composed, very well done.

I don't think the harsh sunlight has affected the bird though Jean, a lovely shot, think you could have tried the 'dodge' tool on highlights to improve the catch light in the eye, it's there, just needs bringing out a little ![]()

Quote: Excellent capture Jean. Try putting some sunflower heart seeds out in your garden, Goldfinches love them, they will soon start coming.
Pete.
Thanks I will give that a go,although I have never seen any around here at all.
Thanks everyone,have a great day !!!
Quote: Lovely capture Jean, and the thing to get Goldys in your garden is Niger seed thay love them but you will need the feeder for them.
Shaun
Thanks Shaun,I have read this on the net recently, will give it a go,but how will it attract them if they are not in the area in the first place ??? I saw a couple of attractive birds down at a local spot this morning,I think one was a wag tail.
Thanks A Lot All xxx
What a cracking capture, with excellent background. Beautiful shot, Jean.
Dave
I'd be interested to know why you're not too happy with it. There 's some good detail. Again the dof is good with no distracting issues in the b/g. Perhaps the only thing that lets it down slightly is the poor wee thing has no feet but that's a minor inconvenience surely.
Nick
Colours are beautiful great shot....get lots in your garden
