Hello Guys...whilst I was taking my squirrel shots a few days ago this sparrow kindly came and posed for me,I am still practising my bird shots, hope you like this one,I am still trying to attract goldfinches to the garden with no luck at all, just purchased a bird bath now lol...set up Niger seed feeders, was talking to a neighbour whom lives two doors away and she has several visit her garden and green-finches too,so they are about....just got to make them come this way lol.

I must thank you all so very much for all your brilliant comments on my last up-loads,you are certainly driving me hard to improve my photography lol.

Hope you are all well and have had a good holiday week-end,take care all.

This image is best viewed large for extra detail if you have the time......THANKS AGAIN !!!

Thanks a lot you Guys...I hope to improve upon my birds given time,I take my hat off to all you bird photographers out there, takes a lot of patience,I am enjoying the new 70-300 lens but find I still have to get very close to manage anything like a full frame shot.

Hope you have a great day.

Excellent capture of a female House Sparrow - often an overlooked bird - we have loads in the garden with their young at the moment.

Beautifully sharp and perfectely exposed. To help attract goldfinches get some thistles and tie them to a stick to stop them vibrating when the birds land on them to pick out the seeds . tie some Teazle also to a stick and sprinkle niger seed in the heads. They also like dandelion clocks
