I had an idea for an image, basically this is it, but after spending some hours at Falmouth docks I didn't quite get the image I was looking for, water is right but bird is not , this is close but no cigar.

Well, it is worthwhile to keep on trying. Birds in flight are so hard to capture well! At least you captured the light on the blue sea beautifully.

If your camera is able - try shooting in RAW. This will give you more possibilities in getting detail in the white of the seagulls.
That is the only thing missing here in this image. But do not give up!!! We all struggle with this!
