I was thinking the same thing when viewing these. The mode is completely different without the color. Excellent set of shots.

A terrific set of pics today Bernie. I think you're very brave snapping people on trains - I wonder, would you do it in England?? I love the mono images, but the colours bring the scenes to life and are just as interesting. (PS. Is that John McCrerick?).

Now this is a tremendous piece of documentary photography. I'm struck particularly by the similarity between the man in the foreground and the woman with the glasses - it's almost as if they've struck a pose. Prefer the colour version, mostly for the eye-popping yellow coat. Brilliant.
