Felt like doing something different, something that I hadn't done before and decided to have a go at handheld night photography courtesy of some ISO 3200 film.
For this one I exposed for the shop window so that the passers-by would be silhouetted, except for the girl on the phone.

The theatre of the street. Love all three, in different ways. V3 is rather special.
Thank you Moira.
Lovely set of shots, a bit different and well taken.
Super series - v1 is wonderful indeed. Good to see you posting again.
Nice set of street shots.
I have a couple of rolls of ilford 3200 in my bag, I must get round to using them...
Thank you folks.
Good street work..
Thank you Bernie.
very well taken, excellent vision of the silhouettes against the shop lights.
sepia/blue, that's how platinum works, on a very subdued level, the first pic in my St Andrews in the snow is a not bad example. The best example is the expensive pic, you know, the one that sold at auction for about $2.4 million, this was enhanced because, if my memory serves me well (whoops, Bob Dylan moment) it is a platinum print over cyanotype.
I'm fascinated by that $2.4million photograph Mick - any idea where I might be able to see it?
try Edward Steichen in google, I think it may be called the Pond and Moonlight. Now not sure that it is P over C but a 3 run gum bichromate.
Cheers Mick, just been reading about him on Wiki - some very interesting work. It's called the The Pond-Moonlight and sold for $2.9M. You're right, there are three of them.
Great city night atmosphere in that picture.
Thanks Francois, that's exactly the look I was looking for.
a great set of street shots, I like especially v1. jeanette
Thank you Jeanette. This pic has become one of my favourites as well.
This is fantastic, I love the grain
Cheers Marc. Grain is generally considered to be a no-no in the digital age but I think it can be very effective for the right shot.
Just looking at your portfolio Michael and this shot took my eye straight away. Well done you've got a nice set there.
Thank you Antony.
V3 is a very good shot. John
Quite a lot of people have taken a shine to that one. Thanks John.
