We escaped to Cape Agulhas yesterday for what may be our last summery day in a long while Smile On our way back we spend some time at the Struis Bay small crafts harbour and this image begged to be taken Smile
I appreciate your votes and comments on my Green Tree Snake yesterday - it is very poisonous and can 'jump ' as far as 10 meters [ 30 feet ] from tree to tree !
May your day be filled with love, peace and joy !!

I like the title and the shot, Herman. The cormorants must feel it to be safe to perch on that boat, but I am sure the owner won't like it.

Good morning Herman, as you requested I decided to have a go at modifying your already rather nice image.

"Nothing drastic?" Firstly I removed the beach as I thought it made the composition a little too fussy. In order to do this I simply popped into CS5 and cloned the areas of the sea and removed the beach as I went along. The Clone Tool can be found in the Tool Box. After cloning I used the Blur Too which again can be found in the Tool Box in order to soften the rather straight edges caused by the Cloning Tool. After the major work was carried out I added a New Adjustment Layer which can be found in the Pull Down Menu Layer - Adjustment Layer. I then tweaked both the Brightness and the Contrast to satisfactory levels. I then finished of by selecting Layer - Merge Layers from the Pull Down Menu

A little more time could be spent smoothing out the waters in the background, but my Brunch is getting cold

Regards Nathan Grin
