A re-enactment day image of a Monk, taken recently. Version 2 in black and white with selective colour to the eyes, darkened the skin tones around the eyes to try and purvey a sense of evil.
Hope you are all having a good weekend and enjoying the sunshine.
Cheers my friends.
Darryl. SmileSmileSmile

Two wonderful portraits and both are well worked; but I would even be more impressed by V2 without colouring the whites of the eyes, Darryl, but that's my personal taste, of course.

Precisely. It's strange how weird normal human colours can look when selectively included against b&w.

Excellent Darryl!! Both images are excellent with super detail. I am leaning towards v2 for the selective colouring of the eyes!!!!

I like V2 but take that dash out of colour out of the whites of the eyes..
For me it distracts for the tones and textures...

Whilst both variants are quite superb Darryl, however I am drawn somewhat towards the rather sinister looking image two. Great processing and such a great subject.

I like V1, he's too sinister in V2, and the greyness of his face reminds me of the undeadTongue! Anyway, you achieved your goal.
