Taken at the Southern-most tip of Africa on Saturday. This place is known for howling winds and rough seas and many a ship has sunk around this area.
V2 - a bad photo but my favourite - my lens was to weak to get a sharp focus. Can you do a mod on a variant Smile
I really appreciate all the votes and comments on my snake image yesterday and to Jukka for his mod Smile
Have a great day !

To be at the end of a continent, with all that history, is pretty neat. I bet that that place is something to see in a storm!!!

Im an amateur. I shot only few shores. I dont know what Im talking about, but I dont think this picture is all that great at all. I really dont understand what the fuss or votes are about here?
Howling winds? The location? What about the pic? In my opinion, below average.
I dont mean any disrespect, Im only trying to understand this photography thing....

Hi Herman
have had a go at both shots Smile

the cormorant was difficult to pull anything substantal out (others may well do better!!)..think the highlights/darks were too strong at either end...but interesting trying GrinGrin

Two nice images Herman..love the rugged rocks in the foreground, it just adds to how treacherous this coastline is.....clearly Raphael above does not know the history of this beautiful tip of Africa...only 2 weeks ago "my" Russian Tall ship hit a huge storm just here, with crashing waves over their decks and howling winds...the crew said they were terrified. Have a great dayGrinGrin

I had some difficulties with the mod,as you can see. There are not very much pixels around,so when you try to do somehing-sharpening-or something like that, the pixels start to emerge. But that is what I got,not very impressive.Blush --- Number one is very fine!GrinGrinGrinGrin ---- The very best regards Herman!SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile ----- Jukka.

Love them both. The cormorant looks like it is conducting the sea's orchestral percussion and the rugged textures captured in V1 are fascinating.

Re trying to understand "the photography thing," we are all different and have different interpretations on what we perceive visually so some will like an image while others will hate it. Personally I take grandmother's wise advice,

"If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all."
