I wanted to get the exposure for the clouds and show the details under the bridge where the water flow is. So I resorted to HDR, then converted that back to regular DR Wink

In case you're wondering, I use Debian Linux for the operating system. HDR is courtesy of Photomatix Basic (running under the WINE windows emulator) with the conversion through CinePaint, a Linux program that supports a LOT of high-def formats. The border and text is through my new organiser/first pass manipulator program called digiKam, another piece of the Debian system.

The Debian System? It sounds like the sort of place that poses a threat to the future existence of mankind.
Warp factor 9 Mr Sputnki. Phasers on stun.

Whups, sorry I was in my 'techie' mind.... Basically I was identifying all the free software I was using in my pursuit of happiness!

Ok Photomatix is not actually free, but they give you the basic functionality for free...

Well a very non-techie "click" for the pic. I like the angles and the almost abstract result. The HDR has done some strange things with the appearance of the water though (or "tho" for North American readers).
