Finally the Great White North is showing signs that it is now spring. Soon the garden fairies will be free to look after whatever it is they look after. I noticed them when I got home from work a couple of days ago. They were emerging from the block of ice that was one of my garden boxes.
Sort of like me, emerging after a long absence. I won't be waiting on the daily upload like I once did, but I'll be popping in regularly again to get my dose of inspiration from y'all!
About the shot. At that time of day that area is shaded by the house, and it was starting to get dark. I popped my main flash onto the camera and thought about how overpowering that would be, with lots of glare from the ice. So I put the circular polariser on. Seems to have done the trick.
