The Chaplin.

The Chaplin.Hello Mario

I like the positioning of the Chaplin. Your choice of F9 has bought out the detail in his whiskers and the lace of the Jabot ands sleeves. There is a touch of a catchlight in his eyes and that adds some warmth to the image. A face full of character.
I'm am not sure if the gown is black or a dark grey- it may well be my monitor - if is is supposed to be black it may be worth while tweaking the levels or adjusting the curves. This may help give it a little more separation from the dark part of the back ground.
I have a couple of areas of concern. The triangle of background above the shoulder looks far too bright and secondly there is a black area to the left of the face above the ear level with the eye. If you have been doing a bit of cloning it is best to zoom in to 150% or 200% that way you don't miss anything.

regards Jacq

Resting

RestingHello William

For a first go with something new - good effort- Large LED light take some getting used to.
I feel that the lights may have been too close - the white of the graves stones is too bright. If you have the chance to re shoot it try moving the lights back to give you some light fall off but make sure you don't get your shadow showing in the image. Try a different position - it looks to me as if the lights were to the left of camera, Try light at a 45 degree angle.
Have you heard of the inverse square law? Essentially it means that the further the subject is away from the light source, the larger that light source appears, but the weaker its strength. The trees and stones in the background are better lit because the light is diminished because they are further from the light source - the colours are very atmospheric.
I've tweaked your image slightly and uploaded it.

Keep at it - its early days.

regards Jacqueline

black white and blue

black white and blueSomething different. I like the idea- but I think it would look better without the laundry basket -its a bit of a distraction.

Pointing up and looking down

Pointing up and looking downSomething different. I like it. I think I know what is wrong. The shots aren't balanced. The three on the left are fine.
Middle three - Try swapping the one with two feet at the bottom with the one in the middle. The right hand side - I think the top one is the Odd one out. I think you need another table leg shot here. Give it a go see what you you think.
