Brilliant view point.
I do hope you will take this the right way but I am 'clicking' on this image because - for me - it is a very 'emotive' image.
A very special part of my life is wrapped up in this pier back in the early 70's and to see it here in it's current state, makes me begin to think about those times...
This is beautifully composed and produced and with the end of the old pier appearing to be in slight mist, it makes the image even more 'ethereal' and therefore even more evocative with its personal memories.
Thank you for a very personal moment...
Echoing Mike a tad, when I lived at home Brighton was our "local" sea front. Spent much time here and I still love to go back, especially in winter when the waves and the wind are up and the tourists aren't! Great composition.
Great composition love the colours. Its very sorry to see the Piers demise.
I agree with the other posters.
I grew up in Hove and spent many happy afternoons (and one or two Christmas Days) on this pier during the late 1950s and 60s.
Pictures like this bring back many old memories.
It's a well taken and evocative shot.
It looks Majestic even in this sorry state of repair.
A very movimg image and an excellent composition.
