The composition and tones are very good, but the water looks wrong. Among rocks I expect t o see splashes, waves and swirls.
Outstanding!!! The stones (colored one especially) highlighted in the foreground is adding to its glory beautifully. Deep

This picture was achieved by having the camera fairly close to the ground and level with 6 stop pro glass. I have waited for the tide to fill the rock pool up, waited for the tide to recede. Then took the picture so that is the water rushing out so I could achieve an almost 3d look, which I am very pleased with.
Quote: Super seascape. Did you place that orange rock?
Hartland is a magical bay
Hi no I didn't place the orange rock there. I was taking some people on a photographic course on a dullish day and that is just some cement with a brick in which has been ground down. Which attracted me to the rock pool. I have wrote to someone else as to how this image was achieved as they couldn't quite understand it. Yes Hartland is a very magical place.
An excellent image Stephen. There is plainly nothing 'wrong' with the water movement unless you consider using long exposures 'incorrect'.
I particularly like the steely almost monochromatic toning and the wet stones in the foreground give added interest. Excellent clarity too.
