My eye was attracted by the bright contrasting colors.

Thanks for looking.

Elaine the composition looks ok to me. It is rather unfortunate that the organisers had not had arranged for a green tractor to be on the left of the red one, they would make a rather good contrast; but we do not know how was the positioning plan arranged, by year of manufacture? by horsepower? by alphabetic order? - your picture has given a nice hint of the reality exhibited. More is less sometimes and there is sufficient engine detail and colour to keep us occupied here. The machines look well maintained. And your pic has colour and detail.

Hi Pablo and Dave,

Thanks both for taking the time to comment. I agree Pablo, shame there wasn't a green tractor to include in the shot.

I like the colours too Dave Grin

Cheers

Wonderfully vibrant primaries, Elaine, and may even work with a closer crop as well.

Well you have green in the background on the left, they're just in the wrong order...
Zooming in is good, the interest here is the similar lines but individual quirks of the tractors, having them lined up shows that off rather well, while you have avoided background distractions, too much context.
My quibble here is that it's just a bit tight at the bottom of the frame, I'd like to see the wheels resting on just a few pixels more grass. I know the grass is hiding the bottoms of the tyre curves, but we need to see that space, where the unseen curves sit.
At the top, it's good that you've cropped down to the top of the steering wheel on the right and no further but maybe I'd try to get rid of the streak of light at the top of the green.
I'll try a Mod.
Moira

Hi All,

Nathan - love your joke - thanks for cheering me up.

Dave - I like your crop better than mine Dave. Nice one.....thanks.

Jim - Thanks for taking the time to comment, it's great to receive nice comments like yours.

Moira - I agree Moira, the shot does look better with a bit more space at the bottom. It's a small change but makes a big difference. Thanks

Thanks very much everyone. It's great that you all have took the time to give me your advice

No, this is fine. Much more impact than if you had zoomed out and your colours are brighter and punchy. This is ow some of your other images should look. A bit of sleuthing needed to figure out why. I like this.
