I've had this shot in mind for a while and i know its been done before but here's my attempt at it. I has hoping to get a bit higher up so the the east pier was higher than the railings.

Whitby can never be photographed enough; without looking at the title, as soon as I saw the wall I knew it had to be Whitby, if it hadn't been would have been devastated. You have certainly captured its essence here; the red sky is a real bonus.

As Tish says, it was immediately recognised as Whitby from the thumbnail, but I can't say I've seen it shot from this viewpoint - usually it's from the steps themselves rather than the steep cobbled road which runs alongside. Nice shot, Steve, like it...but then, how can you not like Whitby? Wink
