CurlewPhenomenal shot of these very skittish birds, love the open beak on it too adds a sense of feeling from the normal bird shots, ell done indeed Grin

As an aside if this were mine and if you are of the mind and a PS whizz I would try to clone some less obvious foreground over the bottom left mound as it is a wee bit drawing of the eye...please accept this as a very minor observation on a really great image Grin

CoveredThis is a good shot as mentioned above it's all there.....but....unless my comment is an intentional thing you have done....

I say this as a positive comment it has to be made when a good shot isn't quite right to the viewer...around the main subject there is a very obvious "halo" which indicates some post processing of maybe dodging to bring out detail and this has bled out creating the halo effect...

it you have done this intentionally then fair enough...

I hope I don't offend and you take my observation as positive & constructive critique as it is meant ....it is a good shot Smile

All the best...

Starfish II

Starfish IIFantastic image Mark love the composition, the find & inclusion of the starfish is FAB, sky is divine.... Grin

minor thing for me is that the top of the lighthouse is very tight to touching the edge of the frame I would have given it a bit more room to breathe in the frame... it seems too cramped and supressed for me for what is a gorgeous and very spacious image...unless there is reason for the very tight framing of course

A minor point and a cracking image none the less...clicked and Faved Smile

ChantelleNice shot here the light is fab...

have done a (very quick) mod as I am very fussy about my backgrounds and the black does draw me in a bit... bit of OCD I think

Also tweaked the highlights between her hand on the tree and her face & on her shoulder, just to soften it...

I hasten to add I am NOT a Photoshop guru so the mod is done by a very amateur PS chap me... I KNOW others would do far better than I...lol

Cheers, Steve
Nairn beach, Scotland at sunset.First of all I have to say the content of the image is BRILLIANT...composition is Fab content is FAB....but.....

I can't help feeling the red/orange is a tad unreal and this spoils for me what is a FIRST CLASS image.... I have a Lee sunset filter which I very rarely use as it gives the colours an unreal depth & warmth... even the greens appear to have a colour cast... I get that feeling in this image it just doesn't come across right.... Sad

I saw a recent post of yours over the last few days and had the same thoughts so now I have to say how I feel as the images are too GOOD for me to ignore my thoughts...

I do hope I have not offended my critique is honest and I really do love the images & would have loved to have bagged them myself Grin

AshLove the concept of the shot Paul... have had a little play around took the bolt out and softened the skin tones and enhanced the tatoos as I feel this is a strong part of the image.

Hope you like

Coal Tit

Coal TitI love the crispness of the shot Shaun.... but... I do feel he is a little cramped in the frame, the pose accentuates this...

what do you think?

Serenity at sea

Serenity at seaThis has a very "Heavenly" feel about it and if you like it (and you should) I wouldn't worry about it "bombing" !

I love it...

Crit though would be that the figure/statue should be positioned more to the left (almost centre due to shadow length) so as to look into the image with the shadow near left of frame, then I think it would be spot on.
