This was taken at a medieval market on a recent holiday to Mijas in Spain, using my Sony 50mm f/1.8, shooting wide open at ISO200 and 1/15sec. Its the first time I've used this lens late at night and was really impressed with the performance.

The drummer was sitting in an Arabic tent and was quite happy to pose for the shot. Out of several images I chose this one as I liked the slight movement in the hands, and the faraway look in his eyes. I tweaked the levels slightly and added the crop using Elements.

Thanks for looking

Steve

Lovely contrast between the calm concentration of the face and the motion blur in the hands. 1/15 second well used.
