This was taken on a walkabout around Lichfield earlier today with my Sony 50mm f/1.8 SAM lens. The bright yellow colour and drooping aspect of the flowers in this image really caught my eye on a bright autumn afternoon, and I particularly liked the detail in the centre of the flower.

I shot at f/3.5, 1/250sec at ISO100 with a touch of exposure compensation. The only adjustments made in Elements were to remove a couple of dark spots from one petal and adding the border.

This is a very nice shot - I have a fasination for dead flowers (my hubbie says I am weird) - good composition and colour xx
