Journey to the centre...

This was taken yesterday at the Natural History Museum in London.

I shot at f22, ISO100 for ten seconds using the balustrade as a support and a 2 second timer to stop me from shaking the camera when hitting the shutter release. I had to slot the lens cap under the back edge of the camera to get the right angle. I used the long exposure to minimise the effect of people on the shot, and to give the sense of movement to the escaltor.

In PSE I've cleaned up one or two dust spots and slightly saturated the colours before adding a gaussian blur to the edges to acheive the soft DOF I obviously couldn't manage at f22.
