Thanks for the comments on my last upload.
Another go at black and white.
This was shot in mono from the camera,just a couple of basic fixes to the original. adjusted shadows to darken overall adjusted high lights and added a vignette using the basic tools of Picasa.

Hi Steve,

Another good B&W image, well done.

I don't know if you know how to achieve a torch/lamp light effect which can work very well with some images (not just B&W). I have applied it to a mod, see what you think.

Nice as it is Steve, - good work. Try Pixlr or Irfanview, two free programmes with more horsepower than Gimp.
