And that is what it is. The problem for me is no subject. You need something as a focal point, silhouetted yaucht or something like that. Possible a little less exposure too to darken the very bright highlights. The problem in general with shots like this is that they look better to the eye than the camera records them.

Good sky and shadows on the water. You have captured the North Sea showing beauty and calmness. If you could have (safely) chosen a place where some of the high cliffs or lighthouse could have been included, the viewer would have a better sense of scale and an area of fore ground interest. Or as Paul says a ship or yacht.
I like this shot because I like clouds which is a fairly limited interest.

Just one of those things. You know it needs a subject - I know it needs a subject - but there just isn't one available. You still feel that you have to shoot it becasue it looks so nice, so you do. Unfortunate but there it is. If you see something in the distance you can wait for it, if you cannot, well what do you do?
Great shame because the setting has been captured extremely well.

Hi Steve,
I have to question whether this is actually a view from Flamborough Head, I cannot see any toilet paper floating in the water from Bridlington, are you sure it is Flamborough Head, looks too clean to me?
