Redpoll on Lichen

Redpoll on Lichen by PhilSingleton

Awesome, Phil! The background looks great, as does the branch running front-to-back so that only the nearest end is sharp. Top work.

Blossoming Redpoll

Another belting shot. I'm also quite impressed you've got some blossom in your garden already! Smile

Goldfinch Gold Lichen

Another super-sharp shot, Phil. Let me award you vote #50 ! Smile

Steaming Up at Grosmont

Steaming Up at Grosmont by PhilSingleton

The 0.5sec exposure has really made that moving steam look fabulous! Great atmosphere and the B&W really makes it.

Shimmering Greenfinch

Really impressed by the sharpness in this series of pictures. Great technique.

Perching Goldfinch

Another super shot Phil. There's a lovely quality to the light that nicely enhances the colours in the feathers as well as giving good definition and sharpness.

Female Chaffinch

Another super shot, Phil. Loving the contrast between the sharpness of the bird and the creamy blurriness of the background. Nicely done.

Really like this Phil. Tremendous sharpness and nicely blurred background. A great start to your Christmas break!

Dunstanburgh Castle Sunset

Dunstanburgh Castle Sunset by PhilSingleton

I like the composition in this, with the rocky foreground and the rocky outcrops in the middle distance echoing the castle's peninsula. Great sea too!

Portrait of a Young Sparrowhawk

Another shot with great detail. And the colour-popped eye works really well. Nice one.

Portrait of a Lanner Falcon

Love the detail in this Phil.

Evening Poppy

Lovely backlighting in this shot Phil.

Aletschgletscher

Aletschgletscher by PhilSingleton

I really like this Phil. I'm not sure why it hasn't got more attention. Sometimes b&w shots struggle to catch the eye of browsers in the gallery of thumbnails I think.

The composition is balanced and I like the tonal range, particularly the dark sky.

(PS Is your email still not working? I sent you one on Wednesday re BDWW, which might be worth a look.)

Famous Bempton Gannet

Famous Bempton Gannet by PhilSingleton

Cracking shot Phil. Love the light and the tones on the bird's body and wings, but it is the sharpness that really seals the image. Nice one!

Saltwick Bay Sunset

Super tones and reflections.

I think I may be that dot on the far right of the horizon! Smile

Nice to see a different angle at Saltwick.
