I spotted this in the harbour in Mehe from the small boat I was in. I assume he was waiting for the local fishing boats to unload their daily catch. I will upload a modified version based on all your favourable comments

Looks eyecatching in the thumbnail, even better bigger - nice capture, well spotted.

Beautifully observed. The interplay of the brutal manmade shapes and the elegant heron is particularly eye-catching. My only nitpick is the headland just visible beyond the harbour wall. It introduces a new idea which isn't echoed elsewhere and therefore doesn't quite fit. Try covering it with your finger and you'll see what I mean.

Overall, a great shot!

Very well stated about the overall image, and a very interesting observation about the headland.
Good shot.

An eyecatching image from the thumbnail and it just looks great once you click in. I love the graphic composition and the noble and graceful pose of the Heron juxtaposed against the harbour and the ship. I agree about the headland comment made earlier by Joolsb and would like to see the image with the headland removed. I know thats not a natural record of what you saw but this is a work of art and if it was a painter capturing the scene my bet is they would do it without capturing the land mass behind.
