The Java Sparrow, also known as the Ricebird(species Padda oryzivora), bird of the mannikin group in the family Estrildidae (order Passeriformes). It is an attractive bird that chirps and trills. Native to Java and Bali, it has become established in the wild elsewhere in Asia. Also called paddy bird, it may form large flocks that damage grain, especially devistating rice fields. It is 14 cm (5.5 inches) long and mostly gray, with pinkish underparts, a large white ear patch, and a stout red bill. An attractive member of the sparrow family.
I hope you like him. Many thanks for all the C&C's they are very much appreciated.
I am sorry for only clicking the last couple of days but I am having to catch up with a lot of things due to being ill the last two/three weeks.
Enjoy your week, best wishes.
Steve.

What a beautiful bird! I like both photos but prefer V1. Personally, I'd probably try and get rid of the dark area on the right hand side as it's a bit distracting (very easy in PS) but that's just my personal opinion and I know that some people feel that editing a photo in that way is 'cheating'. Anyhow, they're great photos as they are so well done. Smile

Both great images of such an attractive little bird, but V1 for me today. The colours are so well captured in that version.
