When I was laid off from my full time job last year I decided I would venture into photography more and go semi pro. I had some cards and postcards printed and have just set up a web site, advertised in the local press and some promotions. I have had a few paid jobs now and all have turned out well, with the clients pleased with the results. I have had some interest from a publisher in my wildlife images and hope to make some sales in the near future. It does seem, though, that now is not the best time to start a new venture as every body is feeling the pinch in the pocket and a lot of photographers finding it hard going with the lack of clients. I hope that work picks up again soon, I only have two more jobs booked. Luckly I have other work for the time being to keep the bills paid. Illness has plagued me for a few months on and off, which hasn't helped the situation but I am on the mend and happy to get out with the camera again.
Any suggestions on how I can proceed ahead with this venture that may prove helpful would be gratefully received.
