I've been away for a couple of days, a break from job searching and a bit of stressfree relaxation. Obviously I took my camera. I intend to catch up with your uploads from the past few days over the next few days, hopefully.
This is an Arabian Sand Cat, a very shy cat that, like every other cat, tends to sleep a lot of the day, so I had to wait to the very end of the day to see him/her and get a few shots.
Coming from desert areas, these cats have long, thick hair between the pads of the paws. This hair lies over the pads and acts as protection from the hot sand. Asthere is not much prey around in the desert, sand cats have excellent hearing to help them locate it. They can hear small animals moving about underground and dig them up.
