I'm unsure to whether this Owl is moulting or is a youngster becoming an adult. His tummy was still very downey. Phil you can help me out here as to the breed of Owl. I think he is a Tawney but I'm no expert on birds of prey, as proved yesterday.

Great capture,I agree with Richard (doghouse 756) about it looking like an Eagle owl,I have a couple of shots in my PF of a Siberian eagle owl and the markings and claws are the same as this one.

Nice detail and colour,well captured.................
