I only used see the very occasional Heron but now they seem to be everywhere, local ponds, rivers and estuaries. Perhaps the fish population has risen because of cleaner water?
I must admit at being a little disappointed with the Avocet image but that's life. I had rarely seen them before so was delighted to get a number of shots, especially as one felt secure enough to nestle down.
