Snowy Owl with snow falling in a background of birch trees.

I have plenty of images I have taken of Snowy Owls but always with trees or shrubs as a backdrop. So I thought I would attempt to add one, I'm not brilliant with photoshop so a first attempt. I hope you like it.

Many thanks for all your kind views, votes and comments on my uploads, always appreciated.

Steve.

At first glance its very convincing........maybe the giveaway is a slightly hard edge around the owl but as a first go it is very good. Nicely done Steve

Feathering (no pun intended) the selection more into the bird to remove the small black halo would create a better blend.
Not at all bad for a first attempt, likely better than my first attempt was!
I hope you've still got this saved as a layered version so you can go back to it. You can then add other snow scenes as backgrounds as your desire takes you.

The added snow and snowflakes along the branch are a little too obvious, and are too regular. I'd leave it at the snow on the branch itself.

If you're going to print cards for the family this Christmas you could do worse than use this image Smile
