An American Wood Duck. The afternoon light dappled through the tree's and gave the water a satin and silk like patternation, which I found quite attractive, hence the title.
Many thanks for all the clicks and comments on my previous upload. I'm looking forward to the weekend, my sister and I will visiting the BWC, probably Saturday depending on the weather. I hope if you're around, you won't be shy and say hi.
So next week I shall bore you with even more British Mammals and Birds.
Still no work yet and the savings are dwindling so trips out will be a thing of the past soon, with the cost of fuel.
Take care everyone and have a great weekend.

Steve.

I love the water texture and colours in this which the duck sits in so beautifully it really compliments the colours of the feathers so well

What a superb shot Steve, love the water and detail on the bird. You were right the light was so bad most shots taken at low speed, as i get noise over 400iso, the canon 7d is like that. thanks for your comment and voteWinkSmile
